(Church at Home)

Launched in 2025, the ministry of Kleberson and Diuliem Alves brings the church into the homes of Brazilians across San Diego County. Rather than waiting for people to come to a building, the Alves family meets neighbors in their living rooms, dining tables, and family spaces, sharing God’s Word, worship, and prayer in the heart of everyday life. These gatherings are relational and personal, combining Bible study, storytelling, singing, and pastoral care, and engaging entire families in faith.

The intimacy of these home meetings allows participants to explore faith where daily joys, struggles, and hopes unfold. As the ministry has grown, families who first experienced the Gospel in these small gatherings are beginning to invite neighbors, coworkers, and relatives, creating a ripple effect of mission throughout the county.

Recently, the ministry partnered with Concordia Lutheran Church in Chula Vista, grounding the movement in the wider church and providing access to worship, sacraments, and ongoing spiritual formation. This partnership ensures that the warmth and intimacy of house gatherings are strengthened by the theological depth and community life of a local congregation, embodying the New Testament vision of a church both in the home and in the city.
