Cancer Support Fellowship

Launching in Fall 2025, the Cancer Support Fellowship is a new ministry led by Deacon Dayton Dangel, designed to bring spiritual and emotional care to those affected by cancer in North County San Diego. Hosted by Community Lutheran Church, the fellowship welcomes patients, survivors, caregivers, family members, and friends—anyone whose life has been touched by cancer.

Rooted in his own experience with the disease, Deacon Dangel brings empathy, understanding, and pastoral care to create a safe space for sharing, grieving, and finding hope in Christ.

The fellowship will meet in a small-group setting, offering:

• Guided discussion and Scripture reflection

• Prayer and encouragement

• Opportunities for personal storytelling

• Practical tools for navigating physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges

Participants will also have the chance to contribute reflections and testimonies, leaving a legacy of hope for others walking a similar journey.

Through compassionate, Christ-centered support, the Cancer Support Fellowship exists to remind all who attend that even amid illness, fear, or grief, God’s presence, love, and comfort remain steadfast.
