Comedor Misión San Lucas

Launched in 2025 under the leadership of Deaconess Maria Cristina Monson, with the support of Pastor Job Jimenez and Iglesia Luterana Cristo Redentor, the Comedor Misión San Lucas (Breakfast for Children in the San Lucas Mission) provides a warm, nutritious breakfast to children in the El Florida IV neighborhood of Tijuana every Saturday morning. More than a meal, it is a ministry of care—offering both physical nourishment and spiritual hope.

Each gathering creates space for children to experience God’s love, hear the Gospel, and build relationships with caring adults. Families are also engaged, fostering community and connection beyond the breakfast table.

Every Saturday includes a preaching station where God’s Word is shared in age-appropriate ways, helping children see how Scripture speaks into their lives. Over time, this ministry is envisioned as a bridge toward ongoing discipleship opportunities and even the possibility of planting a new congregation in the neighborhood.

Through consistent care, teaching, and relationships, the Comedor Misión San Lucas seeks to nurture both body and soul, offering stability, hope, and the love of Christ to a community in need.
