A new ministry is beginning to grow among Brazilians in San Diego, led by Jhony and Thaís Vargas. From their own home, they are gathering friends to open the Scriptures together—some with little or no church background, others who have been away from the faith but are willing to take a fresh look at God’s Word.
Their vision is simple yet powerful: that everyone who comes would have space to read, ask questions, and rediscover the good news of Jesus in community.
Momentum is already building as Jhony and Thaís invite neighbors and friends to the first gatherings. Rooted at Hope Lutheran Church, their home congregation, this circle of friends has the potential to grow into a vibrant fellowship shaped by God’s Word and Spirit.
