Twelve Dinners. Countless Stories. One Mission.

On April 11, our missionary family gathered once again for our twelfth dinner—this time at the welcoming home of Steve and Cindy Schedler. These evenings have become a cherished rhythm of encouragement, laughter, prayer, and deep conversation about the mission fields God has placed around us—in neighborhoods, coffee shops, shelters, and sanctuaries.

This night was especially meaningful as we gave thanks and said farewell to Pastor Dominic Rivkin, a friend, leader, and co-founder of the Lutheran Mission Society San Diego. From day one, Pastor Dominic walked with us as Mission Executive for the Pacific Southwest District, helping lay the foundation of our society. His support, wisdom, and heart for mission have left a permanent mark on our hearts.

As he and his wife prepare to move to North Idaho for a new call, we bless them with full hearts. Their presence will be deeply missed, but their legacy continues.

We move forward—together—rooted in Christ, reaching San Diego and Tijuana with the Gospel, and always finding strength in the table we share.
