An Afternoon with the Joy Club

Yesterday, we had the privilege of spending time with missionaries Tere Montoya and Sadoc Martinez in Tijuana. We began with a meaningful conversation in their home, reflecting on the seasons of their ministries 1000 Generaciones e and seeking God’s guidance for the work He has called them to.

Later, we joined them at the Clube del Alegría (Joy Club), a local gathering of seniors that meets every Monday to share a meal, play games, and enjoy fellowship. Tere and Sadoc go there to meet the seniors, teach crafts and social workshops, pray with them, and share the love of Jesus in personal and meaningful ways.

We had the joy of meeting Consuelo, Doña Pabla, Lulu, and many others, hearing their stories, and seeing firsthand how God is working through Tere and Sadoc’s ministry. Their faithful presence brings hope, companionship, and the Gospel to a generation that is often overlooked.

Thank you, Tere and Sadoc, for showing us how mission is lived out in daily life — walking alongside people and sharing Jesus in real moments.
