A Grateful Sunday at Grace, Escondido

On Sunday, June 15, we were blessed to worship with Grace Lutheran Church in Escondido on a day that was both Trinity Sunday and Father’s Day — a meaningful reminder that our God is not only Three-in-One but also intimately personal and present.

Our Missionary Director was invited to lead worship, preach, and teach Sunday School. It was a joy to reflect on the mission of our Triune God — a missionary God who rescues, restores, and calls us to participate in His redemptive work in the world.

During Sunday School, we shared the story and vision of the Lutheran Mission Society San Diego (LMSSD), responded to thoughtful questions, and reaffirmed our commitment to walking alongside Grace in mission, especially in North County.

We are deeply grateful for Grace Lutheran Church’s continued partnership. From the beginning, Grace has believed in the mission of LMSSD — choosing to invest both prayerfully and financially in this work. That trust and support have been a blessing to us.

While we do not yet have a local missionary based in Escondido, we are praying and actively discerning how and when the Lord might open doors to begin a new ministry in this region.

Thank you, Grace, for your warm welcome, your partnership, and your heart for mission. We look forward to what God will continue to do among us.
