Discipling the Next Generation in Tijuana

At Iglesia Luterana Sola Gracia Sola Fe in Tijuana, something beautiful is unfolding. Local missionary Elisabeth Martinez has stepped faithfully into the role of youth leader—discipling teenagers from the congregation and reaching out to youth in the wider community.

With a professional background in marketing and strategic planning, Elisabeth brings her gifts and creativity into ministry—not for recognition, but as a response of gratitude to God’s grace in her life.

Whether gathering for Bible study at church, bowling, sharing pizza, or simply building relationships through fun and fellowship, the youth are learning what it means to walk with Jesus—and with each other.

Elisabeth is supported by fellow leaders in the congregation, and we at the Lutheran Mission Society San Diego are honored to walk with her—equipping and encouraging her for the journey.

Up next? She’s planning a youth retreat this August, and we’re excited to support her in this next chapter.
