A New Chapter in Mission: Chula Vista Opportunity

On Monday, February 24, we had the privilege of meeting with Sedric Fuliga and Martin Olivar—two incredible men with deep Lutheran and Filipino roots, a strong love for Christ, and a bold vision for mission.

They are preparing to launch a new faith community in Chula Vista, focused on reaching young people and families with the Gospel. Their story is shaped by heritage, calling, and a shared desire to make a lasting impact for the Kingdom.

Through the Lutheran Mission Society San Diego, we are actively exploring ways to support, equip, and walk alongside them as they step forward in faith.

This is what mission is all about—connecting, equipping, and launching leaders into new ministries that bring Christ into the heart of our communities.

We’re excited to see how the Lord will use Sedric and Martin in this new journey.
