Commissioning of Deacon Mark Kunkee

This Sunday August 24 we celebrated a special moment at Trinity Lutheran Church—the recommissioning of Deacon Mark Kunkee into missionary service among Wounded Warriors at Balboa Hospital.

Deacon Mark has faithfully served for years at Trinity in many ways, including the food pantry ministry. As a veteran himself, medically retired from service, Mark now steps into the perfect mission field where his heart and story connect deeply—with men and women walking through the challenges of military injury and recovery.
