Military Ministry at Camp Pendleton

Saturday August 9 we had the privilege of accompanying Missionary Jake Jackson, from Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Oceanside, as he serves among our military community. One of the ministries close to Jake’s heart is a weekly Bible study for Marines in the School of Infantry at Camp Pendleton.

In this gathering, young Marines—many far from home and family—open God’s Word together, ask deep questions, and hear the hope of the Gospel in the middle of rigorous training and demanding schedules.

It’s a powerful reminder that the mission field isn’t always across the ocean—it can be right here, among the men and women who stand ready to serve our country.

Please join us in praying for Jake, for other Lutherans responding to this call, for the Marines who attend, and for all our missionaries as they share the Good News of Jesus in every place God opens a door.

“The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer.” – Psalm 18:2
