Raising Up Local Leaders in Tijuana

Last Tuesday, the Lutheran Mission Society San Diego had the joy of sitting around the table with faithful leaders at Iglesia Luterana Cristo Redentor in Tijuana.

These men and women are serving under the leadership of Pastor Job Jiménez with a clear and courageous vision: to develop new ministries connected to Cristo Redentor and, through them, extend the Gospel deeper into the neighborhoods of Tijuana.

It was not just a meeting. It was prayer. It was listening. It was dreaming together about what God is already doing and where He may be opening new doors.

We heard stories of faith, challenges, and opportunities. We talked about discipleship, community presence, and raising up local leaders who know the culture, the streets, and the people. The heartbeat is simple and powerful: strong local ministries, rooted in Christ, multiplying hope.

The border may separate cities, but it does not divide the mission. We are grateful to walk alongside Pastor Job and these leaders as partners—encouraging, supporting, and learning together.

Please keep these leaders in your prayers as they continue to plant seeds of the Gospel across Tijuana.
