Mission in Motion | Unidos en Misión
On May 10, four of our missionaries traveled from San Diego to Orange County—not just for a meeting, but for a moment of fellowship, equipping, and encouragement among fellow Hispanic leaders in our district.
The gathering was hosted by the Hispanic Missionary League of the LCMS, who visited our district to share updates, celebrate what God is doing across our communities, and invest in the next generation of Hispanic Lutheran leaders. It was a powerful reminder: we are not alone in the mission. We’re part of a growing, Spirit-led movement.
Representing the Lutheran Mission Society San Diego were:
✨ Pastor Job Jimenez
✨ Deaconess Intern Karen Swift
✨ Vicar Gustavo Valderrama
✨ Vicar Gustavo Rubén Valderrama
We were also honored to contribute to the day’s formation by teaching one of the sessions, centered on the theme “Growing Together in Mission.” Because this is exactly what we’re called to do: not just grow, but grow together.
Thank you to the Hispanic Missionary League for coming alongside our district. The road ahead is full of promise—and we walk it in faith, side by side.
